Letter #71 - "...this has never happened to me before!!" San Isidro, Guatemala

hello hello

so this was kinda a weird week, because we had to take a 2 day trip to retalhuleu because elder godinez had to go to the capital for stuff for his visa, and i had to be in reu for a training meeting.  i was kinda frustated that we had to go to reu because things are looking up and i didnt want to miss so much time from working.  i was hoping that in the other days that we had to work, things would just work out well and they did!! we were able to find some very cool people that are so prepared that they came to church with us on sunday when we met them on Saturday. this has never happened to me before and this week it happed with 2 investigatores (Paola and Misael)!! so yeah that was way cool.  it really made me think about what it says in D and C 123:17

Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed

answers to moms questions:

i am in zone malacatan and in district libertad.  hugo is super happy, he already has a calling (2nd counselor in the young mens), has already given his first lesson and is already visiting less active young men.  the best thing i ate this week was mcdonalds (when i went to reu). as far as weight loss i think im staying pretty steady, thats because im eating more food here.  my dinner is eggs and bread.  i've ben getting a lot better about exercising and im gonna keep doing it.  my favorite members in the ward would have to be alan and susy.  i have no idea how i could just pick one moment as my favoitre missionary moment - there are way too many to pick from.  yes i got your package - THANKS SO MUCH!!! as far a christmas gifts go i would say a book or two ( i LOVED LOVED LOVED that book Peter Potential, i just wish it was in spanish to share with people!) and a tie.

thanks for your advice..... i guess i should just be more pacient.
so yeah i think that is about it for this week.  i would just like to say that this week is general conference and that everyone needs to listen to it and that everyone needs to invite friends to listen to it also.

so have a wonderful week

love
