Letter #102 - "Everything is just going great!!" Mazate Las Flores, Guatemala

well hello there

its been another week here in las flores and everything is just going great!! i guess i will start off with the big news, Aureliano and Cecilia got baptized!!! it was so cool!! so basically a few weeks ago we were trying to work more with the members so that way they would get excited about helping us.  so we went to a members house and without having to say anything the lady said, ¨elders these are my parents they want to get baptized¨ so we taught them and now they are bapitzed :) even though its sounds really easy it got tought there for a while.  it suprises me that it doesnt matter how good of a desire or how strong of a testimony someone has before their baptism, the trials always come. ALWAYS. but we just have to help people get over the trials and have the faith to act.

besides that it was just a good week of hard work and more miracles. we are hoping to have a great last week for me and see a lot of miracles. well something i learned this week was the importance of the Book of Mormon, we had a special meeting with President and he reminded us about the importance of the Book of Mormon. he shared a couple of quotes with us from President Ezra Taft Benson

Can you imagine what would happen with an increasing number of copies of the Book of Mormon in the hands of an increasing number of missionaries who know how to use it and who have been born of God? When this happens, we will get the bounteous harvest of souls that the Lord promised.  I have a conviction: The more we teach and preach from the Book of Mormon, the more we shall please the Lord and the greater will be our power of speaking. By so doing, we shall greatly increase our converts, both within the Church and among those we proselyte. …

so yeah i loved that we have to use the Book of Mormon and we should share that book with everyone

answers to mom's questions:

investigators - jose and amalia are going to get married and baptized on saturday, william got permision from his parents and will be baptized on saturday,  we are working with isabel and paola to see if they can also get baptized on saturday. for pday we played broom hockey and it was super fun.  i found out i have a gift for broom hockey haha, but while we were playing i hit this missionary where he didnt want to be hit and it was really funny haha! the zone is getting better. we have had emergency changes like almost every week here so that makes it hard to feel united but things are definitely getting better.  the most spiritual event of the week was the meeting we had with pres.  we were reminded of the simple things that we should all do and it was just really powerful. i still talk with hutch he is doing well. i will miss the people and the missionaries when i go home. it is hard to stay focused because everyone is reminding me that i am about to go home...

i will write my last letter and a mission summary next week....  can you believe it???

well i think that is about it. i hope you have a great week

love
